F/T Chemical Dependency Professional Director (Auburn, WA)

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Treatment, Intervention, Prevention & Services Director is responsible for managing services of the following areas: 1) Drug/Alcohol youth outpatient treatment and 2) School-based prevention/intervention programs. This position requires management of funds, budget, staffing of programs, and supervision of staff and overall direction of the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Oversee all services in the T.I.P.S Department.
2. Provide supervision, consultation and training to program staff.
3. Develop and administer existing and new services.
4. Develop and maintain professional network in the county and community.
5. Monitor and maintain all necessary paperwork, statistics, reports and other documentation as needed for contracts, licenses, funding sources or the agency.
6. Develop and administer program budgets.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

1. Attend meetings, training and conferences as needed/required.
2. Active member on the agency Leadership team.
3. Participate in special meetings as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience in substance abuse/chemical dependency services required. Must meet the WAC requirements for an approved supervisor, WAC 246-811-049.
2. Must have grant writing, budgeting and contract writing experience.
3. WAC approved documentation of experience required.
4. Youth treatment and school-based prevention/intervention experience preferred.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. BA/BS in social service field required. Masters degree preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR KNOWLEDGE:

1. WAC 246-811-030 approved documentation of CDP status required.
2. Current Washington State CDP status required.
3. Documentation of Negative TB test (30 days prior or 30 days after hiring) per WAC requirements.
4 Current Washington State Drivers License and proof of valid insurance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Requires working at various program sites in South Puget Sound as needed.
2. Occasional same day out of town travel is required for meetings using personal vehicle.
3. Occasional overtime work is required throughout the year.
