Vittana does two things: (1) we build some of the world’s first student loan programs in developing countries, and (2) provide funding for students in those programs through our website (http://www.vittana.org).
Established in 2009, Vittana today works in 12 countries, has a 99% repayment rate and can nearly triple someone's income -- that is, take someone living on $6 per day to $18 per day. Vittana's work has been highlighted in the Economist ("a hotbed of innovation"), Los Angeles Times ("Superbien. Grandioso."), Fast Company ("5 Social Entrepreneurs Who'll Change the World") and dozens of other leading publications.
We passionately believe that education has the power to lift an individual out of poverty, and we hope you’re just the sort of person to join us in this inspiring work.
