Friends of Youth serves Foster Youth throughout Seattle and all of King County. If you have a desire to parent or work with youth, consider what you offer those who have had a rough start to life. Our program is top notch, we fully support our foster families with training, counseling, a master's level case manager and experienced case aides.
We have an agency owned home on the Eastside available for Therapeutic Foster Parent(s) to live in while parenting our kids. Friends of Youth also provides foster care to youth seeking immigrant/refugee status, Spanish and Chinese speaking foster parents are needed. This program would be great for folks who are interested in hosting an exchange student or have in the past.
Already a foster parent but longing for more support? Friends of Youth has the reputation for taking unbelievable care of our foster families -- and we want you to join us!
To be a foster parent you can be single, married, partnered . . . live in a house, apartment, or condo. The basic requirements for foster care include requiring a spare bedroom for the foster child, some income apart from foster care, and patience. A flexible work schedule is also helpful. Please inquire about the possibilities.
