Position Description
Directs, facilitates and administers assigned Health and Well-being programs to ensure that they operate in a quality manner following Association Guidelines. Manages and supervises assigned staff. Supports annual branch fundraising. Understands the "Health Seeker" target market and the national crises with chronic disease such as Diabetes, Cancer and Obesity.

PT Position
20 hours a week of program coordination and administration
6 hours a week New Member Consultations
6 additional hours per week of PT or other paid for programming
Hours varies 20-32 hours per week
Hours flexible as needed.

Assigned Programs
• Personal Training
• Small Group Personal Training
• Youth Fitness Training
• New member Consultations
• Group Cycle classes
• Land classes including step, Nia, ZUMBA, Strength, AOA, etc
• YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program
• Principle Activities

Staff supervision
• Hire, train and supervise staff. Develop a team of fitness professionals who provide high quality experiences for a wide variety of fitness levels ranging from the inactive to the athlete.
• Provide ongoing staff development and training.
• Hold staff meetings. Meet formally with employees a minimum of twice yearly for performance reviews. Hold department meetings as needed.

Program Management
• Monitor group fitness classes through attendance and member feedback.
• Create group exercise schedule.
• Monitor and grow Personal Training Program.
• Program design and implementation. Provide a wide variety of Health & Well-being program using member feedback and research of new fitness trends.
• Attend National Health & Well-being conference annually.
• Create flyers and publications that promote programs.

Branch Leadership
• Work in partnership with other branch departments including family programs and aquatics to provide a member experience which improves the overall quality of life for Y members and the community at large.
• Attend monthly Association Wide Core Group Health & Well-being meetings. Actively participate on Core Group projects.
• Attend quarterly branch leadership meetings.

Member Satisfaction
• Respond to member's comments and concerns. Answer comment cards and meet with members as needed
• Conduct member satisfaction surveys and develop improvement plans that address the findings.
• Follow up on member's progress.

Equipment management
• Inventory and purchase fitness equipment
• Maintain fitness equipment such as cleaning and repairs of group fitness equipment.

Administrative Duties
• Complete administrate duties for assigned program areas
• Budget management. Develop annual budget and monitor monthly making adjustments as needed to stay on track.

Volunteers and fund raising
• Recruit & train volunteers for programs and annual fund raising. Recruit program volunteers such as group exercise instructors.
• Provide meaningful volunteer recognition.
• Recruit and work with a small group of volunteer to raise money for annual branch fund raising campaign.
