Treehouse currently has a job opening for a part-time (22 hours per week) Wearhouse Program Assistant to provide direct service to youth and families in the Wearhouse retail store. The Wearhouse is a free store where foster kids shop for clothing they need in styles they want, along with school supplies, toys, books and other essentials. We are looking for someone who is passionate about fashion, building relationships with kids and caregivers and enjoys working with volunteers. The ideal candidate is outgoing, flexible and skilled at building relationships with team members, volunteers, and clients.
This is a regular, 22 hour per week part-time position with a 3-day work week. Flexible schedule required; position requires some evening and Saturday hours. Core schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Hourly rate is $14/hour. Pro-rated benefits offered.

Position objective:
Under the supervision of the Enrichment Programs Manager, provide a full range of program support functions for the successful operation of the Wearhouse Program. This position primarily works in the Wearhouse retail clothing store, providing service and support to families.
Areas of Accountability:
The Wearhouse Program Assistant is accountable for the high level of customer service to families, volunteers and donors as well as daily store and stockroom operations.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service
•Ensure clients are provided with highest level of customer service, providing courteous and knowledgeable assistance to every youth and caregiver.
•Ensure customers are accurately informed of Wearhouse services as well as additional supports available at Treehouse.
•Serve as a positive representative for Treehouse to all customers, volunteers and staff.
•Provide support and direction to volunteers in the Wearhouse.
•Assist in leading and supporting volunteer groups.
•Provide excellent service to donors at the donation door including unloading vehicles, offering a tour and providing a donation receipt.
•Respond to inquiries from families and referring agencies regarding program and procedures.
Store Operations
•Complete opening/closing procedures to ensure the store is ready for business.
•Daily re-stocking of product and help conducting merchandise moves.
•Department ownership including cleaning, restocking, merchandising, display, purchase input and back stock management
•Maintain the order and cleanliness of store --includes behind the counter, waiting room, and store.
•Accurately receive and tag donated items for the Wearhouse.
General
•Participate in regular program and agency meetings as appropriate to meet program objectives.
•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with program staff and referring agencies.
•Assist in program data duties as needed.
•Accurately update the database and other statistical records for clients served.
•Communicate with other agency programs to ensure accurate record keeping.
•Other duties as assigned by Enrichment Programs Manager.
Position Qualifications:
•Previous retail experience, apparel preferred
•Knowledgeable about youth and teen fashion
•Interest and passion for the Treehouse mission
•Strong and passionate commitment to customer service
•Ability to provide clear direction to volunteers
•Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, community agencies, and clients
•High level of flexibility and self-motivation

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
•Experience with POS software and ability to learn internal databases
•Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
•Flexible availability to work core retail hours as necessary, including evenings and Saturdays
