Have a passion for helping youth? Service Alternatives, Inc. is looking to hire committed and enthusiastic staff to work with youth at our residential homes located in Everett and Arlington. Part-time day, swing and graveyard shifts are available! There may be potential for full time hours once clearances have passed.
JOB SUMMARY
The Behavioral Intervention and Support Specialist is responsible for the direct care and supervision of children, providing a safe environment while working on implementation of behavioral and permanency goals. Care and supervision may be provided in a variety of settings, including staffed residential homes, foster homes, family homes, and the community.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Social Work or closely allied field, or a High School Diploma with two years related experience in an applicable field. Must maintain background clearance and acceptable driving record.
JOB SKILLS/EQUIPMENT
Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work with a diverse client/family population in a variety of settings. Must be willing to take direction in development of behavior management and crisis resolution skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to assess and manage challenging/crisis situations.
