Qualifications:
The Development Database Manager must possess strong computer and organizational skills, be detail oriented with focus on accuracy and thoroughness, have strong customer service skills and the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks. Two-years of college is required, a four-year degree is preferred.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with all types of people and maintains an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Accuracy, consistency, and follow-through are essential attributes that will be invaluable. Strong problem solving and analytical skills are vital to the success of the position. Specific computer skills include (Word, Excel, Gmail, Constant Contact, data import/export between systems, etc.) Strong background in data base entry and information system management, understanding of fundraising and development practices as applied to data management are a strong plus.
Essential Job Functions and Principal Activities:
  • Use and help maintain data systems for donor fulfillment, including: Telosa Exceed Database, Constant Contact and accessing other external systems as needed.
  • Data entry, exporting/importing and updating information from other systems as needed.
  • Assures accurate and timely acknowledgement of gifts.
  • Assures that donor recognition is completed and tracked in the database.
  • Supervise and train key self-directed volunteers who help with database entry, donor fulfillment and maintenance of information systems, assuring that information is accurate, timely and confidential. The role here is to manage projects and tasks in coordination with volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate Database records and ensure timely updates to Exceed and Constant Contact.
  • Produce regular reports for monthly tie-down with accounting, Board, Development Committee and event planning meetings.
  • Run National Change of Address (NCOA) on quarterly basis.
  • Provide support for most development activities working closely with the Development Director, volunteers and the Executive Director.
  • Be a member of the InvestED management team, attending monthly all-hands meetings when necessary and actively contributing to the leadership of the organization.
  • Provide leadership, celebrate success and help to influence the culture of the organization to evaluate and seek improvements while having fun and making a difference.
  • Meet regularly with the Development Director to coordinate schedule and project updates.
  • Maintain work manual and document technical aspects of the position.
  • Participate in events, training and meetings when necessary.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment (FAX machine, copy machines, computers, printers, multi-line phones, projectors, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
