Client Support Specialist: To recruit patients for this federal healthcare program. Monitor and support patient access to dental and primary medical care. Document scheduled appointments for dental care and for general hygiene care for those establishing as patients of the program.
Minimum Qualifications: AA degree in social service or related field and one year of experience working in social services or AA degree plus one additional year of education in social services or related field of study. The incumbent must have a valid/current Washington State Drivers License or the ability to obtain such prior to employment. The incumbent must pass a criminal history background check which may include fingerprinting. The incumbent must provide and maintain on file a copy of current First Aid and CPR card. Due to the nature of this job, the incumbent must have reliable personal transportation.

-Strong commitment to persons who are experiencing homelessness
-Ability to pay close attention to detail and to follow established recruitment procedures and medical HIPAA guidelines
-Knowledge of interviewing in outreach and office settings
-Ability to maintain confidential and professional communication
-Ability to gain trusting communication with youth and adults who lack housing or healthcare
-Knowledge to collect, analyze, evaluate and report data accurately
-Knowledge and skill in case work methods.
-Knowledge and ability to successfully implement intake interviewing that and case management
-Knowledge of the Tacoma Pierce County area.
-Knowledge and ability to refer to entitlement programs. or the ability to learn.
-Knowledge of and ability to access community social, medical, mental, chemical dependent services, housing, employment and other needed resources, as appropriate based on client need.
-Must have excellent conversational, diplomatic, public relations and cooperative skills
-Must practice to the utmost degree in ethics, confidentiality and boundary setting.
