Supervisor, Barista Training and Education Program
Join FareStart's training team as Supervisor for our Barista Training and Education Program! We have an immediate opening for an energetic and experienced working supervisor to lead the effective coordination and hands-on delivery of Barista Training and Education, supporting homeless and disadvantaged youth in their journey to self-sufficiency through job training, education and employment.
Responsibilities include supervision and hands- on job training for the Barista Training and Education Program, coordination with partner agency, leadership of assigned training staff, working with trainers to ensure students meet competency goals, training program development and delivery, thorough and timely coaching and accurate recordkeeping. You have:
• BA or BS in a relevant field (preferred); may substitute relevant job experience for requisite education
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience, particularly within food-service; some barista experience preferred
• Experience teaching and training while working with youth in an interactive environment
• A demonstrated coaching style reflecting compassion, wisdom and integrity
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and manage difficult situations to appropriate resolution
• Patience, organization skills and strong communication
• Demonstrated energy and a passion for excellence, teamwork and creating success

Compensation Package
• Base pay typically ranges $36,000 to $42,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
