HOURS OF SERVICE: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., M -- Th, 10:00 a.m.-- 2 Fri. pm. with occasional evening and weekend hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Retention Project Coordinator will work for the Center for Service and Community Engagement at Seattle University and coordinate the Redhawk Academic Mentoring program at Washington Middle School (WMS), a newly created program of the Seattle University Youth Initiative (SUYI). This program matches WMS 6th graders who live within the SUYI attendance zone with special trained Seattle University student mentors. Service-learning will be used as a strategy to address college access and success issues. The Retention Project Coordinator will receive training and participate in National Days of Service as a member of the statewide AmeriCorps Retention Project team.
