Hours: Up to 40 hours per week (flex scheduling, 1 year commitment)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Description:
The Urban Ministry Fellowship position provides experience for the incumbent in the areas of case management, counseling, advocacy, and program administration. This position provides the opportunity to learn how to provide effective and efficient case management and crisis intervention services to youth in need, form professional relationships, and participate in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
􀂃Attend Murdock Trust Internship training
􀂃Raise partial financial support ($4,500 - $16,000 across 12 months)
􀂃Maintain order and ensure safety during direct service shifts
􀂃Complete and maintain all required and appropriate records in a timely manner
􀂃Direct Service

o Manage monthly Dental Van in partnership with Medical Teams International
o Staff morning and evening direct service shifts including Drop-In and Late Night Outreach
o Provide crisis intervention, visitation, and outreach services to young people in need
o Provide effective and efficient advocacy and case management services to eligible young people
o Refer young people to Continuum of Care programs
o Support Continuum of Care programs as needed

o Staff morning and evening programs
o Provide support to Continuum of Care programs including: Life Skills Workshops, Life Discovery Activities and Bridge events, Hospitality services, and Street Bean Espresso

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
􀂃Demonstrated ability to perform job responsibilities
􀂃BA in related field
􀂃Team oriented with good interpersonal skills
􀂃Proficient within the PC environment -- Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook

Required Qualifications
1. All NHM staff must be Christians, personally committed to the Lord Jesus Christ, and their lives must demonstrate such a commitment. They must be non-judgmental and able to work with Christians of differing denominations and cultural backgrounds.
2. 21 years of age or older.

Salary: Annual $16,000+ depending on fundraising (This position is supported in-part by a grant from the Murdock Foundation)
