Get an Education, Learn Construction and Earn Money with YouthBuild!!! (Olympia)

If you are 17-20 years old, have an interest in the construction field and still need to earn your high school diploma or GED, YouthBuild is for you! This is a full-time, year-long program starting September 5th. In one year, you will have an opportunity to:

-Earn your high school diploma or GED
-Learn valuable construction skills that can help you get a high paying job in the future
-Improve your community by building low-income housing
-Earn up to $525 a month, with opportunities for performance and attendance bonuses

To be eligible, you must:
*Be between the ages of 17 and 20 as of September 5, 2011
*Live in Thurston County
*Have an interest in the construction field
*Be willing to work hard to earn your high school diploma or GED
(youth who have already earned their high school diploma are not eligible for this program)
*Be motivated to make positive changes in your life and your community

To participate in the YouthBuild Project, you must also identify with at least one of the following:
-You are considered low-income
-You have dropped out of school, or have been referred by a current high school counselor
-You are currently in or aging out of foster care
-You have a criminal background
-You have a documented disability
-You are a child of an incarcerated parent
-Your family is considered to be migrant workers
