Imagine Children’s Museum is a non-profit organization located in Everett, WA. To learn more about the organization, visit www.ImagineCM.org. This is a new position for the organization. We are seeking an exceptional individual to provide leadership in securing sponsorships and the planning and implementation of special events. Must be
proficient and have a proven track record in BOTH...SPONSORSHIPS and SPECIAL EVENTS.
Consultants need not apply. This is a part time position, primarily weekday hours, although some evenings and weekends will be required. There is potential for this position to evolve into a full time position as sponsorships and events grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sponsor Acquisition
  • Identify, cultivate and secure sponsorships while establishing foundations for ongoing relationships
  • Secure in-kind donations necessary to support event implementation
Special Event Planning and Implementation:
  • Work collaboratively with Museum team to develop, execute and evaluate special event offerings
  • Work collaboratively with vendors, outside agencies, sponsors, donors and volunteers to implement special events
  • Contract with performers, vendors and other specialists as needed
  • Secure, train and lead volunteers
  • Review, update or create special event policies, procedures and guidelines; Develop 5-year special event timeline
Facility Usage
  • Review and make recommendations for updating current facility usage policies, procedures, pricing, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to determine policies, procedures and pricing for new event space
Other Functions
  • Adhere to ICM’s vision, policies and procedures, goals and objectives and standards
  • Maintain positive relations with vendors, outside agencies, sponsors, donors and volunteers
  • Complete other job related duties and projects as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Extensive experience with developing and maintaining sponsor relationships
  • Extensive experience in special event planning and implementation, including budgeting and evaluation
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, including Museum Board Members, corporate leaders, sponsors, vendors, staff and volunteers
  • Familiarity with event/project management software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of how to create and manage budgets
  • Demonstrate initiative, creative problem-solving and good organizational and time-management skills; Attention to detail is imperative
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner while enhancing the image of ICM and its events
  • The physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position
  • A valid driver’s license and insurance as proscribed by ICM policy
