Behavior Intervention and Support Specialist (North Snohomish County)
Have a passion for helping youth? Service Alternatives, Inc. is looking to hire committed and enthusiastic staff to work with youth at our crisis residential center in North Snohomish county. Part-time swing, weekend and graveyard shifts are available!
JOB SUMMARY
The Behavioral Intervention and Support Specialist is responsible for the direct care and supervision of children, providing a safe environment while working on implementation of behavioral and permanency goals. Care and supervision may be provided in a variety of settings, including staffed residential homes, foster homes, family homes, and the community.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Social Work or closely allied field, or a High School Diploma with two years related experience in an applicable field. Must maintain background clearance and acceptable driving record.
JOB SKILLS/EQUIPMENT
Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work with a diverse client/family population in a variety of settings. Must be willing to take direction in development of behavior management and crisis resolution skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to assess and manage challenging/crisis situations.
