CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SUPERVISES: 0
LOCATION: Seattle, WA
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides ongoing clinical and/or case management services to a diverse CHSW consumer population including specialized treatment/services in a variety of settings. Conducts intake, assessment and diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for complex and specialized treatment implementation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Conducts initial consumer screening, intake, and assessment
·Assesses and determines consumer diagnosis/service need and develops treatment/service plan and/or makes appropriate community referral
·Implements treatment/service plan using a variety of therapeutic/educational interventions in a variety of locations and settings
·Performs treatment/service evaluations and follow-up
·Performs administrative duties associated with a clinical setting
·Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with appropriate community resources
·Provides leadership, coordination for a select group of staff and/or volunteers
·Advocates for the values of a diverse population within CHSW and the Community
·Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
·Masters degree in Social Work or related field required, plus 5+ experience postgraduate clinical practice with children, youth, and families
·Required Agency Affiliated Counselor Credential
·Knowledge of child, adolescent, and family development
·Understanding of various treatment principles and interventions
·May require additional training on one or more specialized clinical areas: including but not limited to sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, co-occurring disorders, chemical dependency, etc
·Skill in complex clinical assessment and diagnosis
·Understanding of the provision of services to a diverse socioeconomic and cultural population
·Proficient in MS Office
·Requires Department of Health License in one of the following: Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor
·A valid Washington State driver’s license is required
·Proof of CPR and First Aid Certification is required
·HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogens training is required
·Must possess strong human relations skills to communicate and work effectively within a culturally diverse work environment and community
