Administrative Coordinator (Broadway Bound Children's Theatre)

Position: Administrative Coordinator

Status: Non-Exempt; Up to 40 hrs/wk

Compensation: $1,500 per month

Overview:
Broadway Bound, children's musical theater organization is actively looking for individuals to join our team. Currently, we have 2 positions available in our Administrative office. We are interested in people that will thrive in our dynamic workplace. Because Broadway Bound is a theatre company it requires that all staff be available to work occasional evenings and weekends during audition and performance times. Broadway Bound is a grassroots, community focused organization and we want to embrace a collaborative and cooperative work environment. One of our primary needs within our team is an individual that is able to support both the administrative and technology side of running a small business and is also able to interface with the parents and kids that make up our clientele. In our small office environment it is important to work collaboratively with the rest of the office staff.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist marketing efforts by managing all printing projects such as show posters, postcards, etc.
- Lead in the coordination of parent volunteers and community development
- Assist with auditions, performances and other projects as needed
- Accountable for data processing and entry of key demographic and financial information
- Liaison with outside accountant
- Answer incoming calls, check and distribute voicemail messages, greet visitors
- Provide administrative support (e.g. photocopying, email inquiries, incoming mail, misc errands)

Skills & Requirements
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Familiar with basic database and publishing technology
- Prior experience in an office environment
- Professional demeanor and strong communicator
- Warm, positive attitude
- Self-motivated
- Ability to successfully multi-task
- Team player
- Creatively minded and willing to work on whatever needs arise
- Access to transportation for occasional office errands

More about Broadway Bound
Broadway Bound Children's Theatre serves more than 1,000 young artists each year (ages 5 to 18) from more than 100 schools, both public and private. With dedication to inclusive program, Broadway Bound casts any child who auditions for a show. Broadway Bound produces 4 full productions a year with all youth actors in addition to offering a wide spectrum of camps and classes during breaks from school. Broadway Bound participants are mentored by professional theatre artists from Seattle's rich arts community, including stage directors, choreographers, musicians and designers. For students who wish to participate but cannot afford to pay tuition, we offer need-based scholarships to help ensure their participation. Broadway Bound is also committed outreach to the South Seattle community.
