Mental Health Therapist-Position
Southeast Youth and Family Services seeks a mental health therapist to provide mental health counseling and clinical case management to at-risk youth and their families. Supervision toward licensure is available.
Minimum Required qualifications:
• A Master's degree in one of the following: social work, counseling, clinical psychology or marriage and family therapy from a regionally accredited institution. No exceptions.
• Ability to conduct and write comprehensive detailed clinical assessments.
• Ability to formulate a diagnosis using the DSM IV-TR.
• Ability to develop treatment plans based on diagnostic formulation.
• At least one year of experience working with low income and diverse populations. Clinical internships will be considered.
• Ability to work some evenings.
• Ability to provide in home/community based counseling and psychotherapy services.
Preferred qualifications:
• LICSW, LMHC or LMFT or registration with the DOH to become fully licensed.
• Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation.
• Previous experience providing counseling and psychotherapy in a managed care environment.
• Knowledge of King County Managed Care System.
This position requires reliable insured transportation and involves extensive travel within Seattle and King county.
