Community Youth Services is seeking Contract Therapists for its Family Preservation Services (FPS) program and its Crisis Family Intervention Services (CFIS) program.
Program approved fees for Contract Therapist:
$35/hour face to face
$18/hour documentation
$13/hour travel and consultation
This position is responsible for providing home based, community based and school based therapeutic services to families who are in crisis and to prevent out-of-home care placement of their children and/or adolescents
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling plus one year experience providing therapeutic services to a- risk families and youth.
2. Hold one of the following Department of Health Licensure's:
• LMHC -- Licensed Mental Health Counselor
• LMHCA -- Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate
• LMFT -- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
• LMFTA -- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate
• LICSW -- Licensed Social Worker
3. Proof of personal auto insurance levels at or above a $100,000 combined single liability limit must be provided once offer of employment is accepted.
4. Proof of personal Liability Insurance with Each Occurrence - $1,000,000; General Aggregate - $2,000,000.
5. Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences in the organizations service population.
MAJOR RESPONSBILITIES AND RELATED TASKS:
1. Therapeutic Services
a. Provide up to 6 months of therapy, counseling, and case management services to families who are at substantial likelihood to have their children and/or adolescents placed into out-of-home care due to abuse, neglect and domestic violence.
b. Provide services based upon each family's schedule and convenience.
c. Provide family assessments that include the following domains: environment, parental capabilities, family interactions, family safety, child wellbeing, caregiver/child ambivalence, and readiness for reunification (if applicable).
d. Be familiar with and utilize a solution focused and strength based approach with families.
e. Assure that families are provided appropriate connections to community resources.
f. Maintain regular communication with Washington State Division of Children and Family social workers who are assigned to each case.
g. Assure improved functioning in the following family domains: family functioning, parenting skills, child safety, child wellbeing, family safety, and environment.
2. Other
a. Maintain clinical documentation including: case notes, incident reports, North Carolina Family Assessment Scale (NCFAS) assessments weekly service plans
b. Assure that resources for each case are utilized according to contracts.
c. Maintain monthly fiscal documentation.
d. Participate in clinical supervision and training.
e. Maintain current Washington State counseling license or registration.
f. Communicate with clinical supervisor to address challenges.
