Opportunity Available for School-Age Program Coordinator Staff

You are invited to apply personally or to refer a qualified candidate for the position of Program Coordinator for Kids Co. locations on Mercer Island at Lakeridge and Island Park Elementary Schools. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the child care professional that clearly understands the importance of being a positive adult role model while providing enriching, educational and nurturing care experiences for the school-age child.

Kids Co. is dedicated to providing quality child care for children. The qualified candidate will:
(1) Work in ratio either teaching, modeling, observing staff with 26 or more hours per week in ratio.
(2) Have a basic knowledge and understanding of school-age licensing requirements.
(3) Create and maintain working relationships with school staff, PTA, and each child and famiy.
(4) Be able to invest themselves fully in their role as Program Coordiantor during their stay at Kids Co.

Minimum requirements:
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Have an AA in ECE or equivalent, Child Development, Elementary Education, or related field.
• Demonstrate knowledge in behavior management, program management, school-age activity planning and coordinating skills.
• Minimum 2+ years experience working with school-age children and 1 year supervisory/management skills.
• Ability to work as a team and have basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with staff, families and school district staff.
• Have school-age child development knowledge and experience.

This is a remarkable service opportunity for child care staff members who combine professional excellence with a strong commitment to the welfare of children and families. Salary range: $11.93-$16.26 DOE. This is a part time, split shift position, up to 30 hours per week. Some evening and weekends may be required for trainings and PTA meetings, ect. Additional hours are required during summer. Benefits include paid PTO, sick day and paid holidays (most nationally recognized holidays).
