Foundation for International Understanding Through Students (FIUTS)
The Foundation for International Understanding Through Students (FIUTS) is a nonprofit founded at the University of Washington in 1948. FIUTS connects students to local and global communities through programs that build international awareness, cross-cultural communication, and informed leadership. A small organization with a wide range of programs and constituents, FIUTS builds a strong sense of community and engages students and community members in dialogue and exchange based on shared interests and personal experiences and inspires leadership development in a global context.
The Manager of Community Programs is responsible for matching new international students and scholars with volunteer short-term host families from the local community and for recruiting,cultivating, and communicating with host families, partner organizations, and alumni around the world. This position also manages quarterly community events and supports the Executive Director with web site management, communications, and fundraising activities. Reports to the Executive Director.
