Job Description:
We have an immediate opening for a Recruitment Manager who will be primarily responsible for executing various strategies and supervising the team responsible for recruiting volunteers to be mentors in our program.
Position responsibilities:
• Work with the Vice President of Communications to establish short- and long-term goals, strategies and tasks for volunteer recruitment
• Develop, implement and manage a recruitment plan consistent with agency goals
• Generate reports and evaluate results and effectiveness of all recruitment efforts with Vice President of Communications
• Research and explore new potential strategies and resources for recruiting volunteers
• Supervise Partnership Coordinators to ensure that program meets expected goals, objectives, and outcomes
• Identify, pursue, and obtain corporate partners who can provide an ongoing supply of potential volunteers
• Collaborate with Development staff on overall corporate partnership strategy, ensuring highest value outcomes for recruitment and fund raising
• Develop and design corporate-based recruitment projects
• Perform staff evaluations
• Coordinate recruitment components of agency-wide marketing and PR efforts
• Ensure timely and appropriate follow through with all agency partners
• Act as a liaison for agency and attend appropriate meetings
• Attend recruitment events and other agency events as necessary
• Manage interns and recruitment volunteers as necessary
• Assist with the coordination and facilitation of new staff training sessions
• Maintain customer service at levels "exceeding expectations" of our clients
• Other duties as needed assigned by the Vice President of Communications

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years experience of supervising, leading and developing a team required; performance management experience required
• 3-5 years of experience in volunteer recruitment or related field
• Significant experience preparing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences required
• Bachelors Degree in related field
• Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service both in person and via the telephone, email and high level interviewing skills required
• Able to work independently exercising good judgment, decision making and problem solving skills required
• Able to succeed in a fast-paced environment required
• Able to work with confidential information required
• Experience in data collection, reporting and analysis required
• Access to a reliable automobile, valid driver's license and automobile insurance required
• Passion for the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters and ability to articulate the power of mentoring to make a difference in the lives of youth facing adversity
