PAVE -- Partnerships for Action, Voices for Empowerment provides information and support to families of children with special healthcare needs. The FTFHIC Program Coordinator is responsible for developing and assuring current healthcare information is available that will assist families' in accessing appropriate services for their loved ones with special needs in Washington State. The FTFHIC Program Coordinator also assists in identifying trends in service delivery for families, caregivers and professionals that affect children and youth with special health care needs.
Minimum requirements:
• Understanding of the different funding systems that support children with special healthcare needs
• Understand the various systems of support/referral for families who have a child with special healthcare needs within Washington State
• Ability to coordinate with entities within State, local, and National groups on behalf of families
• Knowledge and understanding of the CSHCN 6 Core Principles and how they support efforts within the State to assist children with special healthcare needs
• Establish, maintain and enhance ongoing relationships, partnerships and collaborations in the medical and professional communities that provide services to families
• Develop partnerships to identify needs, provide/develop, and/or recommend training
Other skills desired:
• Experience with data input and collection strategies
• Noted experience in working within Washington State to help families access care and resources
• Ability to supervise or support consultants to assure goals are met
• Educational background to include some college, AA or BA preferred
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office programs and Publisher
