Boys & Girls Club of Bainbridge Island Program Director Needed (Bainbridge Island )

The Boys & Girls Club of Bainbridge Island, a branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County, is seeking a highly qualified full time Program Director to lead all program operations within the Club as well as a number of other key responsibilities. The Club serves over 60 kids per day, has over 250 members and has seven staff.

Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The Club is a dedicated youth service agency for young people ages 5 to 18. Programs include after school drop-in activities and summer programming. The Club gives kids a place to call their own, where they can have fun, be creative, be a part of a team, get help with homework or just hang out with friends. We offer a safe, fun, inclusive, and inspiring place that kids and their families count on every day.
The Club also offers volunteer and leadership opportunities for youth and teens. All of our program offerings revolve around three core impact areas: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship. The Program Director manages the day to day activities within the Club.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manage and lead overall Club program operations with the highest quality programs and service delivery for members. Together with the Branch Executive Director, develop an annual work plan. Responsible for the professional development of staff, supervises 4-5 part-time staff and all volunteers within the Club.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Build partnerships with parents, families, community members and stakeholders
2. Grant management and reporting on current funded programs and assist in writing new grant proposals
3. Attend monthly board meetings as requested by Branch Executive Director
4. Organize and facilitate weekly Club-wide staff trainings and meetings
5. Facilitate program evaluations, benchmarking and data tracking
6. May participate in special programs or events
7. Support Branch Executive Director in strategic planning and succession planning processes

RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members and supervisor. Communicate daily to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions.
External: Play a role in communicating with external community groups, schools, member's parents and other stakeholders as directed by supervisor.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
 Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and three years management experience
 Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record as determined by BGCKC Vehicle Loss Prevention Program, must be 21 years old or older to drive Club owned and operated vehicles
 Current CPR, First Aid, and BBP/HIV/AIDS Certifications
 Knowledge and/or experience working with a non-profit or youth development agency, Boys & Girls Club experience preferred
 Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
 Good organization skills and attention to detail, professional presence, strong customer relations skills and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
 Expertise in youth development principles, ability to motivate youth in a positive way
 Experience working with and collaborating with external agencies
 Strong analytical and problem solving skills
 Experience hiring, training and supervising youth development staff
 Ability to learn and implement new ideas for the good of the Club

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED:
 Bachelors or Masters degree in Management, Non-Profit Administration, Social Work, Education or related field from an accredited college or university
 Knowledge of Boys & Girls Club operations
 Ability to learn new software programs and train staff
