Position: Child and Family Therapist
Location/Dept: Ruth Dykeman Children's Center
Providing services that meet the needs of families for 90 years, Ruth Dykeman Children's Center is looking for passionate and dedicated people who want to make a difference in a child's life, gain experience in the social services field and have fun while doing it!
Position Summary: We are currently hiring for a Child and Family Therapist at RDCC's Madrona building (a program of Navos). The Child and Family Therapist provides therapy to behaviorally and emotionally challenged children ages 5-12 in our residential care facilities. This position also provides case management that relates to the therapeutic treatment of the customer. The Child and Family Therapist develops and completes psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, quarterly reports and other written reports per contract requirements. The position collaborates with and acts as consultant to residential employees in developing milieu strategies related to treatment plans.
Education, Experience, and Certification: Applicants must possess: a Master's degree and one year clinical experience with youth; Excellent communication, teamwork and computer skills; Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, case management and family systems treatment interventions; Valid Washington State Driver's License; Ability to work some evening and weekend hours
Physical Abilities: Ability to perform a range of physical motions including but not limited to: Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs; Standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time; Kneeling, squatting, and stooping; Running for brief periods of time
Compensation: $35,235 per year
