JOB ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Matt Griffin YMCA (SeaTac) is currently accepting resumes for qualified Summer Program Leaders & Teachers as well as Year-Round Staff (All Jobs work with youth ages 10-18).

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
You long for impact and purpose. We offer it daily. At our 12 branches, two overnight camps and more than 200 program sites, YMCA employees serve the people of King and south Snohomish Counties with programs and services tailored to fit the needs of those we reach. Three overarching goals drive our work: youth development, healthy lifestyles and social responsibility. The Matt Griffin YMCA (SeaTac) has several immediate job openings for a qualified candidates whose values align with our organization: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Caring.

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Leaders and Teachers prepare for and provide high quality programs and classes for summer learning, teen day camp, and year-round community-based programs. The programs provide academic support and social development opportunities for middle and high school-age students, mostly from the Highline community. Successful candidates will work as part of a team that provides academic instruction, leadership development, and/or enrichment activities. They may also chaperone students field trips and overnight trips.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current Washington State Teaching Certificate in Language Arts/Math/Science/ELL, for teaching positions
• Demonstrated experience teaching/ working with middle and high school-aged youth
• Knowledge and previous experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
• Ability to speak any language in addition to English
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Excellent decision-making as well as organizational skills

• Certified Language Arts Teacher (Grade 8/9)

• Certified Math Teacher (Grade 8/9)

• Certified ELL Writing and Reading Teacher (Middle School/ High School)

• Certified Science Teacher -- preferably also endorsed in ELL (Middle School/ High School)

• Day Camp Counselors (5 Positions Available)

• Lead Camp Counselor, Teen Trips

• Day Camp Site Coordinators (3 Positions Available)

• Summer Interns (4 VOLUNTEER Positions Available)

AVAILABLE YEAR-ROUND POSITIONS:

• YMCA Achievers Program Coordinator (PT - 20 hours)

• Youth Center Attendant (PT - 10 hours)
