The School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA) seeks an energetic Executive Director with a passion for providing a path of hope and possibilities for youth of all ages. This position requires a great communicator, a proven fundraiser, and team player. The ideal candidate will work tirelessly to maintain SANCA's vision to provide circus arts education programs for those who have limited access to healthy recreational activities.
Vision: SANCA believes that participation in a regular activity is an important component of human development. Mastery of physical skills builds self-esteem, while consistent interaction with staff and other students fosters cooperation, trust and develops social skills.
Mission: SANCA is dedicated to improving the mental and physical health of children of all ages and abilities by engaging them in the joyous creativity of acrobatics and circus arts. SANCA provides quality instruction in unique physical arts in a safe, supportive, nurturing environment that provides both challenge and reward to the student.
SANCA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to serving students from all economic backgrounds by providing tuition scholarships. Your tax-deductible donation supports SANCA's Youth Scholarship fund as well as ongoing programs that allow children of all ages to continue building success one step at a time.
Reporting to the board of directors, the Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer providing overall strategic and operational responsibility for SANCA's staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission, vision and goals. The ED oversees a $1M budget and manages a staff of 35 including three direct reports. The ED works alongside the Program Director but does not develop artistic or teaching curricula.
Ideally, the ED will have:
--A minimum of five years of executive leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of success in a non-profit/human services organization.
--Strong fiscal management and budgetary leadership with budgets in excess of $750,000.
--Entrepreneurial strategic thinking.
--Innovation in the areas of program, partnership, and fundraising development.
--Experience working with underserved-populations and at-risk youth.
--A familiarity with physical education, performance, or physical arts education.
Bachelor's degree is required. A Masters degree is preferred. Consideration will be given to any combination of education, experience and measurable performance that demonstrates a proven ability to perform the necessary duties of this position.
