Description


The school office at Epiphany School is the primary point of entry for current families and the first point of contact for visitors to the School. The School Office Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all who enter the school office – vendors, faculty members, current and prospective family members, and students – feel welcome and supported. He/she is also responsible for ensuring the efficient management of supplies and other school resources, and plays a key role in creating and implementing daily school routines and operations.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, academic year position. The hours are generally from 8 AM – 4 PM daily, when school is in session (late-August through late June).

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Greet, welcome and assist all staff, students, parents, community members, callers and visitors to the school by answering inquiries, providing information and directing to appropriate school areas
  • Answer phones, provide information, take and deliver messages and direct callers to appropriate individuals
  • Monitor and assist students sent to the school office for illness, injury, or discipline.
  • Order and stock office supplies and supplies for faculty lounge; manage periodic orders for classroom books and supplies
  • Monitor and maintain workroom equipment
  • Accept, organize, and disseminate incoming mail, and post outgoing mail, on a daily basis
  • Perform other duties, as assigned, including supporting faculty and administrators when requested.
Requirements:
  • A strong, demonstrated customer service focus is essential
  • An ability to quickly learn, understand and manifest the cultures and values of Epiphany School.
  • Five years of experience in school office administration or equivalent work experience
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Good organizational, verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds
