Job Title: Operations Manager Job Classification: PT (16-25 hours/week) Position Reports To: Executive Director Application Deadline: Rolling until filled

API Chaya formed in October 2011, when the Asian & Pacific Islander Women & Family Safety Center and Chaya for South Asian Women merged into one organization to better server Asian, South Asian, and Pacific Islander survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other crimes inWashington state. We are located inSeattle,WA. We have a strong emphasis on mobilizing communities to find solutions to end violence; our community organizing includes communities such as LGBTQ, men, young people, faith-based communities, and various ethnic groups. The Operations Manager will oversee the organization’s office management, office technology, database systems, and human resources. The Operations Manager should be a strategic leader and excellent problem solver who will work closely with the Executive Director to develop effective operational systems and manage a steadily growing organization. This individual would ideally have excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication ability, and would be dedicated to the organization’s mission.

DUTIES
  • Define & improve internal organizational processes during critical organizational growth period.
  • Liaise with vendors and businesses to manage contracts and services (including technology, benefits, and facilities).
  • Manage office support systems (phones, computers, printers, faxes, etc.).
  • Oversee equipment and supply purchases and office inventory.
  • Create, oversee and improve comprehensive data collection systems for collecting information for grant and financial reporting.
  • Support Finance Manager with A/R, A/P, and invoicing; help maintain audit compliance.
  • Support Executive Director with Human Resources functions.
  • Support meeting and event logistics.
  • Support donor development efforts.
  • Support Program Manager(s) with grant reporting.
  • Respond to routine phone calls and emails.
  • Manage & update organizational website, newsletter system
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High energy person who is eager to accomplish things efficiently and accurately.
  • Excellent problem solver.
  • Strong sense of teamwork, with ability to interact collaboratively, respectfully, and enthusiastically with a diverse set of program staff and coalition partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented with fastidious organizational skills within a dynamic environment of shifting priorities.
  • Self motivated, able to work independently, able to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of VerticalResponse, WordPress or other programs a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting and donor development software; QuickBooks and SalesForce preferred.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural person preferred, but not required.
