Position Title: Campaign Coordinator
Position Classification: Exempt

Basic Function: The School & Youth (S&Y) Campaign Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Pennies for Patients fundraising program -- a three week spare change collection campaign which provides K-12 teachers new opportunities to implement service learning or character education into their curriculum. This past year, 410 Washington & Alaska schools registered to participate and raised a total of $445,000!

Work Direction: Works under the supervision, direction and training of a Campaign Manager or assigned staff to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities.

About You: You are a dynamic and energetic professional, self-motivated, results-oriented, an excellent communicator/presenter who can communicate an effective case of support for LLS, plan and implement in-school campaigns, lead a school recruitment team, and possess a desire to expand your career in the non-profit sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop fundraising implementation plans for S&Y Programs including recruitment, budgets, timelines, and logistics
• Develop strategic plan for school recruitment / manage telerecruiters
• Coordinate and maintain S&Y campaign correspondence, financial records and statistical reports and facilitate campaign records, evaluations and reports
• Prepare and coordinate S&Y campaign correspondence (via phone, web, print and fax) and localize national templates to cultivate and retain working partnerships with teachers and school administrators
• Oversee and actively participate in school recruitment, taking primary responsibility for spring recruitment efforts and recruiting past-participating schools
• Maintain partnerships with existing sponsors/supporters and leverage new relationships which result in increased revenue
• Secure Honored Heroes for each school year. Develop and implement ideas to incorporate the mission into School & Youth Programs.
• Develop S&Y incentive structure and oversee implementation for top fundraising schools
• Manage all elements of the program to meet and/or exceed revenue goals
• Local travel is required and is extensive during January, February and March
• Assists, as assigned, in the development and implementation of other special events
• Must be able to work early hours, some nights and occasional weekends
• Maintains a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission and its programs to address them
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience working with youth and educators highly desirable
• Fundraising, marketing, and sales experience a plus
• Managerial experience a plus

Skills:
• Ability to develop and leverage new and existing relationships
• Strong word processing and database management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to think creatively
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to deliver effective presentations to (K-12 grade) students and school educators
• High degree of organization and strong attention to detail
• Capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to excellence
• Highly organized and professional demeanor
