Location/Dept: Queen Anne/Central District, Seattle Children's Home
Position Summary: Seattle Children's Home is hiring for a PT (20hrs/wk) Mental Health Liaison. This position will work with King County's juvenile justice system to provide mental health assessment and referrals to eligible youth. This position works in the community and attends administrative meetings as necessary.
Job duties include timely completion of mental health assessments, determining support needs of a youth, making appropriate referrals, communicating across a multidisciplinary team and an ability to help coordinate services. This position also provides support to the KC Juvenile Drug Diversion Court.
Requirements:
*Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or other closely related field
*At least 2 years experience working with children and youth
*Qualify as a Child Mental Health Specialist
*Able and willing to maintain appropriate counseling license as a condition of employment.
*Able to demonstrate the clinical knowledge required to provide comprehensive assessments
*Knowledge of treatment coordination in King County
*Excellent writing skills-This position requires a tremendous amount of written communication.
Compensation: DOE
