Mission:
The mission of Steel Lake Presbyterian Church is to worship God, connect with one another, grow in faith, and serve the world.

Reports to:
Head of Staff -- Pastor, for direct line of accountability, but will partner closely with the Youth Ministries Sub-Committee Chair.

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Youth Ministry Staff (YMS) position is a part-time position dedicated to middle and high school age youth and their families. Generally, the work week will consist of 10 hours. Generally the work week will consist of two hours on Sunday mornings, four hours on Sunday evenings, and four other planning hours scheduled during the week. The YMS will implement and share in the leadership of a ministry which will include opportunities for worship, Bible Study, small group discussions, fun activities, retreats, special events, service projects and mission trips. Because of the many varied activities of a youth ministry program, some flexibility in work schedule will be required. For example, a mission trip would require adjustment of work schedules during the contract period to accommodate more than a 10 hour work week during the mission trip.

• Attend worship and assist in leadership when asked
• Lead Sunday evening youth group
• Facilitate fun activities, retreats, special events, service projects and mission trips.
