Boys & Girls Clubs of King County:
The Joel E. Smilow Clubhouse and Teen Center at Rainier Vista (SRV) is a 40,000 square foot youth-development facility located in the diverse SE Seattle community. The facility is the largest Boys & Girls Club of America site built on a public housing site, and serves as host to seven additional building partner programs.

Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to achieve their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. SRV is a dedicated youth service agency for young people ages 5 to 18. Programs include after school drop-in activities and summer programming, outreach programs for teens, including some late night activities and Keystone Club. SRV gives kids a place to call their own, where they can have fun, get a hot meal, be creative, be a part of a team, get help with homework or just hang out with friends. We offer a safe, fun, inclusive, and inspiring place that kids and their families count on every day.

The Club also offers volunteer, community service, and employment opportunities for youth and teens. All of our program offerings revolve around three core impact areas: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship. The Operations Director manages the day to day activities of the facility and supports partner organizations that work with all of the 1400 youth and teen members.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manage and lead the overall Club operations with the highest quality programs and service delivery for members. Together with the Club Director, develop a long-range and annual work plan. Responsible for Facility Management and overall Professional Development of staff. Supervise 4-6 full/part-time staff and directly manage six program areas with indirect management, training and support of corresponding staff.

1. Fleet Services
a. Training and management of drivers
b. Annual maintenance and safety verification
c. Budget development and management

2. Partner Services
a. Complete annual MOU with each partner
b. Support partner organizations IT, and other building occupancy needs
c. Conduct regular meetings and serve as point of contact

3. Childcare
a. Ensure licensing guidelines are followed by Childcare Director and staff
b. Payment process and fee collection maintained
c. Continued staff training is maintained

4. Technology
a. Lead staff training and troubleshooting
b. Oversee submission of club IT tickets
c. Support staff IT needs including phone set-up, laptops and desk top units
d. Serve as point of contact for CSC IT staff
e. Manage overall club IT including alarm system, monitors, phone system, etc.

5. Facilities and Maintenance
a. Oversee all building and staff safety including fire drills, first aid and CPR training
b. Lead Facilities Committee on overall building maintenance needs
c. Manage all building vendor relationships including janitorial, supply orders and repairs

6. Training and Staff Professional Development
a. Train or ensure training of staff in CPR and First Aid certifications
b. Professional Development opportunities
c. STARS training opportunities where applicable
d. Summer program training
e. BGCKC/BGCA Formula for Impact training
f. Coordination of BGCKC training for staff
g. Organize and ensure appropriate development and training of all staff and volunteers

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Build partnerships with parents, families, community members and stakeholders
2. Grant management and reporting on current funded programs and assist in writing new grant proposals
3. Attend monthly board meetings as requested by Club Director
4. Organize and facilitate weekly Club wide staff trainings and meetings
5. Facilitate annual and other Club program evaluations, benchmarking and data tracking
6. Manage and oversee all facilities related business, focusing on LEAD certification and green practices
7. May participate in special programs or events
8. Support Club Director in strategic planning and succession planning processes

RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, board members and supervisor. Communicate daily to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions.
External: Lead role in communicating with external community groups, schools, member's parents and other stakeholders as directed by supervisor.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
 Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and five years management experience
 Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record as determined by BGCKC Vehicle Loss Prevention Program, must be 21 years old or older to drive Club owned and operated vehicles
 Successful completion of National Criminal History Background check
 Current CPR, First Aid, and BBP/HIV/AIDS Certifications
 Current STARS trainings, immunizations, certifications and any other requirements to be in compliance with DSHS licensing and any state requirements
 Knowledge and/or experience working with a non-profit or youth development agency, Boys & Girls Club experience preferred
 Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
 Good organization skills and attention to detail, professional presence, strong customer relations skills and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
 Expertise in youth development principles, ability to motivate youth in a positive way
 Experience working with and collaborating with external agencies
 Strong analytical and problem solving skills
 Experience hiring, training and supervising youth development staff
 Ability to learn and implement new ideas for the good of the Club

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED:
 Bachelors or Masters degree in Management, Non-Profit Administration, Social Work, Education or related field from an accredited college or university
 Knowledge of Boys & Girls Club operations
 Experience in grant writing and grant management
 Ability to learn new software programs and train staff
 Current CPR, First Aid and BBP/HIV/AIDS Trainer/Instructor Certification

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
This is a full-time exempt position with full benefits. Pay Range: $40,000-$50,000/annual depending on experience and qualifications.
