Girl Scouts of Western Washington (GirlScoutsWW.org) is currently seeking an organized, self-motivated individual that can effectively support multiple projects and managers as they coordinate department systems that allow for consistent program development, promotion and delivery, volunteer management and evaluation. This support and coordination will help to ensure that Girl Scouts participating in any of our series, events or travel offerings will experience a quality program based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). The Program Coordinator Series, Events and Travel (SET), will support specific programs and managers and work in close collaboration, as a cross-functional team member of our SET department. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with excellent health and leave benefits. The position can be based in either DuPont or Seattle.

Essential Functions:

Primary
Develop and coordinate systems establishing the departmental foundation to build three new programmatic pathways. Systems work will focus on strengthening existing programs and supporting the development of regional SET Pathways Teams, volunteer management systems, program development, promotion, delivery, evaluations reporting.

Work collaboratively with SET Department colleagues as part of project teams to develop infrastructure and increase departmental capacity to sustainably expand the Series, Event and Travel Pathways across program initiatives and program offerings.

Support department collaborations with regional volunteers and organizations to deliver on Girls Scouts of Western Washington Strategic Plan, Program Initiatives, annual initiatives and goals.

Provide support and programmatic oversight including risk and financial management to series, events and travel pathways.

Recruit as needed, appoint, prepare, support, supervise and evaluate short-term volunteer teams and temporary staff to deliver and/or support program to girls.

Actively collaborate with other departments to design and influence a management system to support, retain and reengage increasing volumes of Series and Event volunteers by assessing gaps in support and developing tools and regional resources as appropriate.

Responsible for supporting volunteers via orientations and networking opportunities focused on program, pathway, region and/or age-level groupings within the SET Pathways.

Develop and manage assigned program budgets, as necessary.

Maintain and analyze statistical information for assigned programs and develop reports as required.
Coordinate department marketing strategies with MarComm, Community Development and Troop Pathways to ensure maximum participation in available programs.
Deliver programs to girls and adults as needed across the Series, Events and Travel Pathways opportunities.

Secondary
Negotiate and develop program agreements with vendors and outside agencies.
Support activities that promote the council's commitment to reach every girl, everywhere through the development, implementation and support of programs and annual plans that attract and grow participation of underserved populations and are accessible to all racial/ethnic groups, underserved and not-served populations.
Demonstrated and operational knowledge of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, the National Program Portfolio and Girl Scouts of Western Washington policies, procedures, business processes, technology systems and risk management protocols
Support and strengthen community partnerships with local United Ways, corporate and individual donors, foundations and Service Units, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned and approved by supervisor.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education and work experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience successfully managing or supporting volunteers in direct or indirect program delivery.
• Knowledge of youth development strongly preferred; knowledge of Girl Scout program helpful.
• Excellent customer experience/service skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to ensure effective interactions with individuals at all levels and backgrounds.
• Experience with designing and implementing replicable and scalable programming.
• Understanding about different delivery systems, age-appropriate progression, and community cultivation towards the goal of reaching different populations across extensive geography.
• Experience in development and administration of budgets, work plans, and program evaluation.
• Previous work experience utilizing conflict resolution skills.
• Previous supervisory experience of employees or volunteers preferred.
• Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to support and enhance the diversity and cultural and global awareness of girls and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn new technologies.
• Availability to work varied hours including some nights and weekends as necessary.
• Valid Washington State driver's license, vehicle in working condition, proof of insurance or the ability to fulfill timely travel requirements across widespread regional geography.
• Maintain membership in Girl Scouts of the United States of America
• Satisfactory results from criminal background search
