Summary: STEPS (skills, training, and employment preparation services for youth) is a program that provides case management, training, and support to youth 16-21 years of age. Job readiness and work experience are a pivotal part of the program. The STEPS program relies heavily on good relationships with community employers, both public and private. Youth in STEPS are both in school and out of school individuals. The Employment/Work Experience Placement Specialist teaches youth the skills necessary to be job/education ready and to provide supportive guidance and involve them in placement in positions where they gain experience. This is a full-time temporary position expected to last less than 6 months.
