Summary of Responsibilities: The ACAP Director provides leadership and oversight in areas of program implementation, fiscal management, community relations, and fund development. Responsibilities also include ensuring that the program standards are met in all areas providing facilities, transportation, and food service, hiring and supervising staff, and providing leadership for the ongoing development of program quality.

Financial Management:
 Assures accurate billing and timely receivables for ACAP.
 Prepares and revises program budgets.
 Works to meet or exceed financial goals.
 Initiates program adjustments based on current budget performance.
 Tracks program utilization for optimum program performance.

Human Resources Management:
 Provides for the recruitment and selection of ACAP staff.
 Supervises all staff which includes: discipline in accordance with agency standards, performs annual evaluations, and effectively delegates responsibilities to team members.
 Provides for and maintains records of staff training, orientation, and meetings as directed by agency policies, contractors, and licensors.
 Negotiates agreements with outside entities.
 Maintains on-site personnel files.
 Approves staff timesheets, expense reports, mileage reports, leave requests, and other employee action forms.

Program Management:
 Assures that all services offered meet or exceed internal/external quality assurance guidelines.
 Monitors curriculum development and facilitation.
 Ensures that services are offered in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
 Responds effectively to crisis situations.
 Provides and communicates program direction to all stakeholders.
 Responsible for center contracts administration including: compliance, performance, demographics and budget reporting, and program record keeping.
 Successfully markets ACAP to targeted groups.

Required Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or child development and family studies, early childhood special education, or related field. Combination of work experience and education preferred. Required Experience:
1. Experience in program administration, office management and supervision of staff. This includes budget development and grant writing.
2. Experience working with city and/or school representatives as well as representatives from other organizations.
3. Experience working with young children.
