About Us:
Three Dollar Bill Cinema is a 501(c)3 non-profit LGBT arts organization. We provide access to films by, for, and about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their families, and a forum for LGBT filmmakers to share and discuss their work with audiences. We curate themed screenings throughout the year and produce programs in partnership with other arts, cultural, and service organizations in the Greater Seattle area.

Job Title: Volunteer & Administrative Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervises: Volunteers
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with and support Executive Director and senior staff in production of all events and programs.
• Responsible for all volunteer recruiting for Three Dollar Bill Cinema events including the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival.
• Specific responsibilities for the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival include:
--Planning and executing volunteer orientation and volunteer appreciation party
--Work with webmaster to update and implement volunteer sign-up website
--Organize and monitor volunteer comp ticket system
--Monitor volunteer participation during festival
• Recruit new volunteers through social groups, academic institutions, and other outreach efforts.
• Recruit and assist in hiring volunteer/seasonal staff positions
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers for year-round office work and special projects as needed.
• Maintain regular weekly office hours.
• Coordinate e-mail blasts to volunteers and general organization audience.
• Maintain records of volunteer hours.
• Regularly check and process voice mail, e-mail, and paper mail.
• Devise (as necessary) and maintain office systems including paper files, computer files, and general office organization.
• Maintain office supply stock and equipment. Order new supplies and consumables as needed.
• Maintain organization and neatness of office, kitchen area, conference room, and off-site storage room.
• Contact service personnel as needed.
• Plan and oversee bulk mailings throughout the year.
• Orient new staff and volunteers to office procedures.
Skills, Experience, & Qualifications:
• Attend staff meetings.
• Other office and volunteer duties as needed.
• 3+ years of non-profit experience required.
• Bachelor's degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and with a team.
• Detail and deadline-oriented.
• Friendly, polite, and comfortable motivating others.
• Experience with Macintosh operating system, MS office and Filemaker Pro.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Connection to the LGBT community.
• Familiarity with the film industry a plus.
• Previous experience with event management or production also a plus.
• Committed to working with people of varying socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities, sexual orientations, and racial diversity.
Commitment: Part-time year-round position

Hours Per Week: approx. 20 with increased hours in September and October
