Foster Care for Immigrant/Refugee Youth . . . We need your help! - Friends of Youth (King County)

Foster Care for Immigrant/Refugee Youth . . . We need your help! (King County): Friends of Youth has a need for bilingual foster parents. We serve kids from Mexico, Central and South America who have little or no grasp of English. Some have experienced trauma and are in need of counseling services. Friends of Youth provides services that are broad ranging and we are able to support the foster families in their care of these children. We also need folks who may not be able to foster a child help support or sponsor one. There are many ways to help out.

Additionally, we are looking for new and active foster parents in all of King County. In our Therapeutic Foster Care program our parents and staff nurture kids who have survived abuse and neglect. We provide free training, a very generous stipend, and 24 hour staff support to our foster families. You provide a safe home and environment in which the foster child begins to heal and grow. The age range for the foster children is 6-17.

If you have a good heart, good boundaries, and resolve -- foster care might be a way to change a young life. The foster kids and parents are provided a case manager, treatment aide and any other support needed. Please call or email to find out more!
