Position Title: Youth Development Network Coordinator (AmeriCorps*VISTA) - SOAR
The Youth Development Network Coordinator (AmeriCorps*VISTA) will coordinate the King County Youth Development Network (KCYDN), a collaborative SOAR project that is supported by a team of youth development professionals. KCYDN supports and strengthens youth development work in Seattle and King County by sharing resources and connecting individuals and organizations, both in person and online at kcyouthdevelopment.net. The goal of KCYDN is to create a more cohesive, collaborative, and supported youth development community in King County, to ensure that all young people have access to high quality programs and caring, supportive adults.
The Youth Development Network Coordinator (AmeriCorps*VISTA) will engage in critical capacity building efforts to increase community awareness of youth resources and strengthen partnerships among youth programs. The VISTA will expand outreach, engage new partners, build volunteer leadership, develop systems to document impact, and improve the website’s technology, which will help KCYDN more fully support a broad range of youth programs throughout King County. The VISTA will be instrumental in keeping this valuable community resource up-to-date, relevant, accessible, and sustainable. The VISTA will work to further embed this project in the community, ensuring future sustainability and growth.
Position benefits include a living stipend of $12,696/year (pre-tax), an education award of $5,500 or $1,500 (pre-tax) end-of-year cash stipend, health coverage, a child care subsidy and more.
