Full-time Program Coordinator - Northwest Native Women's Green Job Corps
Seattle, Washington

Founded in 2004, Tierra Madre Fund is a catalyst for the development of sustainable Northwest Native communities by supporting women, youth, artists and culture keepers.

Position Description
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator will help shape and manage logistics for a cohort-based experiential learning program in Native sustainability. Our approach is that indigenous people lived sustainably with this land for thousands of years, and have been in distress for a few hundred. Developing Native sustainability today means active decolonization work. It is a remembering and re-learning of traditional ecologic knowledge, and connecting to innovative sustainability technologies.

Responsibilities
• Outreach to Puget Sound area urban and reservation Indian communities
• Coordinate application and selection process
• Develop curriculum with advisors and partner organizations
• Plan for and coordinate program logistics

Qualifications
• Personal qualities of professionalism, integrity and reliability
• Indigenous Traditional Ecological Knowledge preferred
• At least a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Sustainability or a relevant degree coupled with experience in sustainable development or education
• Direct experience working with Native American young adults
• Professional references and/or tribal community recommendation
• Established network in Puget Sound area tribal communities preferred
• Technology skills
• Social marketing skills
• A valid Washington State drivers license and good driving record
• Project management experience
