Wraparound Delivery Team Parent Partner (Shoreline): GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Wraparound Delivery Team Parent Partner is responsible for supporting the family and helping them engage and actively participate on the Wraparound Delivery Team (WDT) and make informed decisions that drive the process. Teams will work with youth who are involved in multiple systems (criminal justice, mental health, substance abuse, etc) and their families. The Parent Partner assures that the family's voice is expressed and heard. Caseload involves an assigned group of families. Conducts strengths-based discoveries of referred families. Reports to the WDT Coach / Program Manager. This is a non-exempt position. Bi-Lingual/Bi-Cultural candidates encouraged to apply. Must have experience either as a parent or primary caregiver of a child in Wraparound and/or multiple systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provides all services utilizing a strengths-based, family-focused, integrated and client-centered approach
•Provides services in a culturally competent manner
•Engages youth and families in the wraparound process
•Conducts strengths-based discoveries and obtains family stories
•Ensures that family voice is heard
•Advocates for the needs of WDT families
•Assists in development of individualized wraparound care plans
•Attends County's Community Resource Team meetings as needed
•Uses the "Ten Principles of Wraparound" and the "Phases and Activities of the Wraparound Process" to guide service delivery
•Serves as a role model and advocate for youth and families involved in the wraparound process
•Leads Family Focus Groups to insure fidelity of model
•Participates in requisite training activities
•Participates in creating and maintaining a workplace that values diversity and treats everyone with respect without regard to race, color, age, religion, creed, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability
•Demonstrates teamwork and open communication
•Provides services in a manner that expedites the meeting of contract requirements and program outcomes
•Maintains documentation in a timely, thorough and accurate manner
•Follows agency policies and procedures, RCWs, WACs, and other external regulations
•Follows CHS's Code of Ethics
•Performs other appropriate tasks related to your professional role as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•Must have experience either as a parent or caregiver of a child in Wraparound and/or multiple systems
•Commitment to confronting racism, sexism, heterosexism, and other discriminatory practices
•Experience and demonstrated ability to successfully work within a diverse cultural setting and provide culturally competent services
•Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
•Prompt and consistent attendance during scheduled working hours
•High school degree or GED. AA Degree preferred
•Two years experience navigating youth and families' systems (such as juvenile justice, mental health, substance abuse, child welfare, developmental disabilities, school districts, etc.), advocating for children and families, and a thorough understanding of children/family systems
•Understanding of strengths-based family driven services
•Strong oral communication skills
•Computer literacy; knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
•Willingness to submit to and pass a criminal background check
•Current Washington State Driver's license and reliable transportation for extensive regional travel required
•Annual TB test
•Ability to work in an unstructured and unpredictable setting, ability to adapt to change
•Sense of humor

  • Compensation: $13-$16/hour + benefits, 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, some evenings
