Therapeutic Foster Care Clinician (Everett, WA): ______20% Recruitment

Develop recruitment action plan. Perform recruitment functions including developing top foster parent prospects, follow up calls to prospects in a timely manner, schedule in-home visits to potential foster parents to pre-screen for regulatory compliance, build relationship with potential foster families, and enroll in required pre-licensure/pre-service training. Generate leads by being in community at trade shows, speaking to church and civic organization, developing community partnerships, and speaking at informational meetings.,

______25% Crisis/Service/Treatment

Working with all internal providers, community mental health centers, schools, and other primary care givers, ensure that collaborative treatment and crisis plans are developed, implemented, and updated. Provide intensive in-home treatment and crisis services per policy at the foster home, and as needed in school and other community-based settings. Complete a treatment plan and document all activity and services provided. Assume primary responsibility for ensuring that children in therapeutic foster care are safe and that disruptions in their care are minimal. Provide face-to-face contact with youth, foster family, and other caregivers based on treatment needs and outlined agency policy expectations. Identify and facilitate the brokering and coordination of support services to the youth and foster family, including the facilitation of and communication with the child's treatment team.

____20% Child/Youth/Resource Family Support

Provide regular face-to-face, in-home contacts based on level of care and policy. Educate and support the family through mental health, special education, and medical service delivery systems. Ensure regulatory and TCJ standards are met and complete necessary licensure paperwork. Ensure adherence to Youthville policies. Document all activity per agency policy. Responsible for contractor, resource parent, and child satisfaction. Monitor and comply with established agency, foster care department, and provider outcomes that support the agency and departmental goals.

______20% Assessment & Pre-placement

Review all clinical information, social history, abuse/neglect concerns, and permanency plans. Conduct interview(s) with youth and complete assessment of needs. Participate in discharge planning for children who are referred from psychiatric hospitals and residential facilities. Complete initial assessment of foster family. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, assess the capacity of prospective foster families to meet the needs of referred youth. Determine viability of matches between youth and prospective foster families. Assist in facilitating pre-placement visits. Assess services needed to ensure successful placement in therapeutic foster care

______10% Program Development & Training

In collaboration with supervisor, meet with foster parents to assess and create professional development plans in order to identify those who are willing and able to care for children referred for therapeutic foster care. Ensure that foster family training needs are identified and met, including any required pre-licensure or pre-service training. Provide direct training to resource parents and staff.

______5% Permanency

Develop discharge plans that collaborate with and support the permanency plan. Provide services and support to biological families, guardians, or adoptive families as indicated by crisis/service plan.

Education
Master's degree in social work or related field.

Certification/Licensure
Licensed at the Master Level

Work Experience
Requires a minimum of two years experience working with youth who have SED and/or developmental disabilities.
Prefer experience-providing services in residential or foster care setting.
