Regional Manager (Seattle): Job Opportunities Available For Regional Manager

You are invited to apply or to refer a qualified candidate for one of the two positions of Regional Manager at Kids Co. located in Seattle and Mercer Island, Washington.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This position is strategically positioned to focus on the management of site leadership and staff. Provides overall leadership and performance measurement for the child care programs and personnel.

The qualified candidate will:
1. Have proven experience in managing multiple locations emphasizing best practices at all levels.
2. Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and will be an innovator in developing creative programming with program managers that deliver the best child care and youth program experiences to the children Kids Co. serves.
3. Possess the unique and necessary combination of child care business and program management skills.
4. Serve in a leadership capacity to promote Kids Co. to the school districts we serve, and the community at large.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A BA/BS in Business Administration, ECE, Child Development, Elementary Education or a related field is required. A minimum of five years business management experience is required. Previous multi-location management experience and child care center management experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural sensitivities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, are required. A valid Washington State driver's license, personal automobile, and personal liability insurance are required.

Measured competence from the following areas includes:
• Ability to lead using strong business management skills including but not limited to finance, personnel, program management and development.
• Ability to develop and maintain a thorough program manager orientation and an on-going professional development plan for staff.
• Ability to protect, promote and enhance the Kids Co. brand through excellent programming at the site level; demonstrates knowledge of child care licensing and accreditation standards.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently manage all the programs this position is responsible for; to make changes when required; to achieve objectives at the agreed upon cost; to maintain a positive attitude; open new centers and, to support the mission, vision, and cultural values of Kids Co.
• Ability to work with and educate executive team members on needs, concerns, and new ideas related to programs.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
